At Redshift, we continually research the science of innovation and the art of leadership. We can demonstrate that innovation is not merely a pop-science buzzword or something that has no place in the world of leadership.

We will use our "Five Points of Leadership" as the framework to curate a solution for you that will use the most up to date thinking on the topic of leadership and leadership challenges. We are not advocating technology as the solution for everything, but what we are saying is that innovation should be part of your thinking when it comes to leadership challenges.

Establish your beacon
Where are you going? What is the purpose of your leadership efforts and the efforts of your team? How do you know this? Can you describe your purpose in simple terms? You don't want people to follow you out of curiosity. You want them to follow you because you have set a clear and unambiguous signal. Think of this as a beacon on a hill that is lighting up your purpose, vision and mission so clearly that anyone could understand and commit to it.

Set the path for you and your team
The fastest way to your beacon may not necessarily be the most efficient in terms of long term outcomes and strategy. You need to establish the most efficient path that takes into account all factors, including the welfare and sustainability of your team. If you select the correct path for your team and include contingencies for unknown roadblocks, your team will be able to make their own way towards your beacon with very little interference from you or other stakeholders.

Assess capability
What are you and your team capable of? What are their strengths and weaknesses? What about you? Are you and your team capable of a rapid pivot in the event of a major roadblock? Can they think and make decisions for themselves? What is your decision making like, especially under pressure? Do they have the most efficient and affordable technology to allow them to connect, communicate and move towards your beacon? Are they critical thinkers who are capable of giving and receiving feedback without fear of conflict?

Walk the path
At Redshift we apply agile thinking to all problems including leadership challenges. We will work with you to create an agile and adaptive solution to your personal or team leadership challenge. This is a way of thinking that will allow you to rapidly gain momentum along the path towards your leadership beacon. This does not have to be a "high tech" solution, but it will require a different way of thinking.

Assess the trip
Your leadership style and skill will grow with constant feedback from your team, your peers, and your coaches. You need to have a consistent and accurate way of measuring outcomes, including leadership outcomes. This is an important part of our approach to leadership because it is important that you demonstrate return on investment for the commitment that you need to make to overcome today's leadership challenges. We will create feedback loops for you that will allow you to understand where you are growing as a leader and where you still need work.
